Just For Kids: Kellie'S Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    carrots
    salt
    pepper
    butter or margarine
Preparation
    Wash carrots.
    Remove outer surface with vegetable parer. Place carrots on chopping board and cut in strips.
    Run 1-inch of cold water into saucepan.
    Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
    Place pan over high heat and bring water to a boil.
    Add carrot strips.
    Cover with a lid and lower heat.
    Cook about 15 minutes or until tender. Pierce with a fork to check tenderness.
    Drain.
    Empty carrots into a bowl.
    Dot with plenty of butter.
    Salt and pepper as you please.
