Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 eggs, beaten
    1 c. sugar
    3 pt. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 slices bread
    sprinkle of nutmeg and sugar
    raisins, if desired
Preparation
    Spread butter on bread and put in 12-inch baking dish, beat eggs until creamy, add sugar and beat.
    Add milk and flavoring, mix well.
    Pour over bread.
    Sprinkle nutmeg and sugar over top to help brown.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 1/2 hour.
