Hawaiian Curry* - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. milk
2 c. freshly grated coconut
3 cloves garlic, chopped finely
1 Tbsp. fresh ginger root, chopped finely
2 apples, cored and sliced
2 medium onions, chopped medium
2 Tbsp. curry powder
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. enriched flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. heavy cream
2-3 c. cooked meat of choice - chicken, shrimp, or other meat and cut into bite-sized pieces
Preparation

Add milk to the grated coconut and bring mixture to a simmering temperature.
Add garlic, ginger, apples and onions to mixture.
Blend curry powder with 2 tablespoons of butter.
Add curry powder and butter mixture to the coconut mixture and cook slowly for three hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove mixture from heat and let stand in a cool place for several hours or until the next day.
