One-Step Farmhouse Chicken Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stewing chicken (5 lb., disjointed)
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. flour
    3/4 c. catsup
    3 c. boiling water
    1 tsp. salt
    few grains pepper
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    juice of 1 lemon
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Place chicken pieces in deep kettle.
    Melt butter in large saucepan; blend in flour.
    Add remaining ingredients; bring to boiling point, stirring constantly.
    Pour over chicken.
    Cover; simmer 3 hours.
    Stir occasionally.
    Makes 6 servings.
