Brown Sugar Loaf Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 2/3 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    3 1/2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Measure first five ingredients into bowl.
    Mix vigorously by hand or mixer for 2 minutes.
    Sift in baking powder.
    Add 1/2 cup milk, eggs and vanilla.
    Beat two more minutes.
    Bake in 9 x 13 x 2-inch loaf pan at 375\u00b0 for about 40 minutes.
