Sweetheart Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. sugar
    yolk of 1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    tart jam
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar gradually and yolk of 1 egg, creaming well.
    Add flour and knead.
    Chill several hours.
    Form into tiny balls, about the size of marbles, and place on greased cookie sheet.
    Make depression in each
    center.
    Fill hollow with jam. \"Currant or raspberry is good.\" Bake in moderate oven, 350\u00b0, until very light brown.
    \"May be rolled in powdered sugar while still warm.\"
