Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
4 c. diced raw apples
nuts (if desired)

Preparation

Cream together the sugar and shortening.
Add the eggs and mix well. Sift the flour, soda, cinnamon and salt and add to the creamed mixture.
Add the apples and nuts, if desired.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
