Divinity - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar (white)
    3/4 c. white Karo
    3/4 c. cold water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix sugar, syrup and water.
    Cook slowly until 1/3 teaspoon forms a hard ball when dropped in water.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Combine syrup mixture with egg whites.
    Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper and allow to harden before serving.
