Soft Pretzels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. warm water
    1 pkg. active dry yeast
    4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Put warm water in bowl with yeast and let dissolve. Add sugar and salt. Stir in enough flour to make a smooth dough. Turn out the dough on lightly floured surface and use excess flour to knead into dough. Knead until smooth.
    Divide into 18 to 24 pieces; roll into balls. Roll each ball into a long strip (snake). Curve each strip into a horse shoe shape. Lift up the ends and twist them once around each other. Fold over the ends and rest them on top of the curve, forming a pretzel shape. Brush pretzels with a mixture of egg beaten with a little water. Sprinkle pretzel with coarse salt. Bake on greased pan at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
