Chicken Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 to 3 c. chicken, cooked and diced
    1 c. cooked carrots
    1/2 c. onion
    2 c. chicken broth
    pinch of saffron (optional)
    dash of pepper
    1 c. cooked peas
    1 c. potatoes, cooked and diced
Preparation
    Cook chicken and vegetables.
    Have ready.
    Saute onion in butter until transparent.
    Add flour, salt, saffron and pepper. Stir until blended.
    Add broth.
    Cook until slightly thickened, stirring constantly.
    Place chicken and vegetables in casserole dish.
    Pour thickened mixture over chicken and vegetables.
    Cover with crust.
