Martha White'S Old-Style Buttermilk Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    about 1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Heat oven to 475\u00b0.
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and soda.
    Cut in shortening until mixture looks like coarse corn meal.
    Stir in buttermilk with a fork until soft dough is formed. Knead and roll out on lightly floured board or pastry cloth.
    Cut to desired thickness.
    Bake about ten minutes.
