Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. chili powder
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 can cream-style corn
2 or 3 slices bacon
1 egg
1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
1 can green chilies
Preparation

Mix buttermilk, baking soda, salt and baking powder thoroughly.
Stir in cornmeal and flour.
Add egg, cream style corn and green chilies.
Fry bacon.
Cool and crumble bacon and add to other mixture.
Pour excess drippings from skillet into mixture.
Stir well and pour into skillet.
Put grated cheese on top.
Bake in the oven at 450\u00b0 until brown.
