Layered Salad Deluxe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce, shredded
    1 c. celery, diced
    1/2 c. green onion
    1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 small green pepper, diced
    1 c. carrots, diced
    1 small pkg. frozen peas
    2 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
    1 tsp. seasoned salt
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
    3 hard-cooked eggs, sliced
    tomato wedges
    grated cheese
Preparation
    Put vegetables in a 9 x 13-inch glass container in layers. Spread mayonnaise over the top and sprinkle with sugar, salt, garlic and grated cheese.
    Cover and chill for 24 hours.
    Before serving, add eggs and bacon.
    Do not toss.
    Serves 8 to 10.
