Lemon Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour, sifted
6 eggs, separated
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 oz. Lemon extract
1 box (1 lb.) white raisins
1 lb. shelled pecans, whole
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs yolks.
Combine sifted flour, salt and baking powder together. Gradually add flour mixture and lemon extract alternately to butter mixture until all flour and extract is used up.
Add raisins and nuts.
Beat eggs white until stiff.\tFold into batter.
Bake in large angel food pan or 2 loaf pans.
Bake 1 hour and 15-30 minutes at 300\u00b0.
