Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 c. sliced cucumbers
2 c. sliced onions
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation

Put cucumbers and onions in a glass bowl.
In a medium saucepan, combine other ingredients.
Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Pour vinegar mixture over cucumbers. Cool slightly.
Cover. Refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving.
Store up to a month in refrigerator.
Yields 20 servings.
