Autumn Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion
    4 c. water
    1 c. sliced carrots
    1 c. sliced celery
    1 c. pared and cubed potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. bottled brown Bouquet sauce
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1/8 tsp. basil
    6 tomatoes
Preparation
    Note:
    1 (28 ounce) can tomatoes with liquid can be substituted for the fresh tomatoes.
    Reduce water to 3 cups.
