Pasta Con Fagioli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried navy beans
    2 celery stalks, diced
    1 large onion, chopped
    5 Tbsp. olive oil
    salt and pepper
    1/2 lb. ditali, tubetini or spaghetti, broken into 1 inch pieces
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight in cold water.
    Drain and place in saucepan; cover beans with\tfresh
    cold
    water
    and bring to a boil.
    Add all ingredients except Pasta, cover and simmer over low heat until beans crush easily between fingers, about 2 1/2 hours. Add pasta and
    simmer
    until
    it
    is
    tender, about 10 minutes more, stirring occasionally.
    Serve hot.
    Serves 6.
