Ingredients

1 pt. fresh strawberries, hulled, or 2 c. frozen unsweetened strawberries, partially thawed
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. lime juice (freshly squeezed preferred)
Preparation

Mix the strawberries and sugar in a medium size bowl and let stand for 10 minutes.
Transfer to a food processor or an electric blender and puree about 30 seconds.
Add the buttermilk and lime juice; whirl briefly to combine.
Pour the mixture into an ungreased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Cover with plastic food wrap and freeze until firm, about 3 hours.
