Texas Taters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. hash brown potatoes, thawed
    1/2 c. grated onion
    12 oz. sour cream
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. melted butter
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Mix together and put in a 9 x 11-inch pan.
    Top with 1 1/2 cups crushed cornflakes mixed with 1/4 cup melted butter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    May use bread crumbs instead of cornflakes.
