Ingredients

1 c. real butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla.
Mix flour and salt and add to creamed mixture.
Chill at least 2 hours.
Roll out on floured surface to 1/8-inch thick.
Cut out and bake at 325\u00b0 approximately 10 minutes.
Do not let cookies get brown.
