Broccoli Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion
    1 lb. broccoli (can use asparagus or cauliflower instead)
    3/4 c. celery
    3 potatoes
    2 carrots, sliced
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 can chicken broth
    1 qt. milk
    2 to 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. shredded cheese
Preparation
    Chop vegetables and add to 1 can of chicken broth (2 to 3 cups).
    May use bouillon.
    Cook 20 to 30 minutes.
    Add 1 quart of milk and bring to a boil.
    Thicken with 2 to 4 tablespoons of cornstarch.
    Add cheese.
    Beat with spoon until melted.
    Do not boil.
