Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. slightly crushed corn flakes
Preparation

Sift together flour, salt and soda.
Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat butter to soften.
Add sugar and beat until fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
Stir in flour mixture. Stir in dates and nuts.
Drop by teaspoons into corn flakes and roll until covered.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly and bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Do not overbake.
