Chicken Cacciatore - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. broiler, cut up
    3 Tbsp. oil
    1 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. chopped green pepper
    1 1/2 c. dry white wine
    6 oz. tomato paste
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 bay leaf
    1 tsp. oregano
    4 oz. can mushrooms
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    3 c. tomatoes (one No. 2 1/2 can)
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown chicken in oil.
    When brown on all sides, remove.
    Add onion, green pepper and garlic.
    Cook until tender.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer 1 hour.
    Serve over rice or spaghetti.
