Homemade Banana Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. mashed bananas (3 medium)
    1/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Grease and flour two round cake pans.
    Combine all dry ingredients.
    Add rest of ingredients.
    Mix on low speed until combined, then 3 minutes on medium speed.
    Pour into pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until tests done.
    Cool in pans 10 minutes on wire rack.
    Remove from pans and cool completely.
    Use any frosting or in banana split cake.
