Gooseberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 2 crust pie
    3 Tbsp. dry cookie or bread crumbs
    4 c. gooseberries
    2 c. sugar
    pinch of salt
    6 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Put crumbs on bottom of unbaked crust.
    Combine gooseberries, sugar, cornstarch and salt.
    Fill crust; top with strips or vented top crust, sealing well by moistening edges with water.
    Trim and flute edges.
    Bake in a 425\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until crust is brown and juices nicely thickened.
