Ingredients

4 eggs (medium)
2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter
confectioners sugar
Preparation

Beat eggs with rotary beater in top of double boiler until blended.
Blend in brown sugar and butter.
Place over rapidly boiling water, stirring constantly, just until hot (about 5 minutes).
Remove from heat.
Sift flour and baking powder.
Add all at once to cooked mixture.
Mix until well blended.
Stir in pecans and vanilla.
Turn into a greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake in a moderate oven (350\u00b0) 23 to 30 minutes until it springs back.
Sprinkle with confectioners sugar while warm.
