Angel Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg white
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. vinegar
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1/4 c. water
    food coloring (optional)
Preparation
    Beat egg white in small mixer bowl at high speed until stiff. Mix vinegar, sugar, Karo and water in a pot.
    Bring to a boil. Add food coloring, if desired. While beating egg whites, pour boiling syrup over egg whites very slowly. Add vanilla.
