Angel Food Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. crushed pineapple, drained
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    3/4 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. water
    3 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1/2 pt. cream, whipped
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation
    Combine pineapple, sugar, salt and water and bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstarch in the 3 tablespoons cold water and stir into boiling mixture.
    Lower heat and cook and stir until cornstarch is well blended and mixture is clear.
    Cool to lukewarm then fold in egg whites.
    Pour mixture into baked pie shell.
    Serve with whipped cream sweetened to taste.
