Strawberry Fig Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. mashed, unpeeled figs
    5 pkg. strawberry jello (3 oz. size)
    5 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix mashed figs, jello and sugar in saucepan.
    Bring to boil; reduce to medium heat.
    Cook 3 minutes, stirring often.
    Quickly pour into jars and seal.
    Makes about 5 pints.
