Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted
    1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches
    1 1/4 c. sugar, divided
    1 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour butter into shallow 2-quart baking dish and set aside. Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup of juice.
    In a saucepan bring peaches and juice just to a boil.
    Remove from heat.
    In mixing bowl combine 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
    Pour over butter in baking dish.
    Spoon hot peaches over butter.
    Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Serve warm.
