Butterscotch Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. brown sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. lard (scant)
    1 c. nuts or raisins
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. cream of tartar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    7 c. flour
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda and cream of tartar together.
    Cream sugar, lard and eggs.
    Mix into flour mixture.
    Add vanilla and raisins or nuts.
    Make in rolls the night before.
    Slice in the morning. Leave plenty of room to spread.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
