Ingredients

1 c. butter or half margarine
1 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. pure maple syrup
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Blend in maple syrup.
Beat in flour and baking soda.
Divide dough into 5 parts and roll into logs the roundness of a quarter.
Place 2 logs on an ungreased cookie sheet (need 3 cookie sheets).
Bake in a 300\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes.
Logs will spread.
Take out and immediately cut diagonally into 1-inch strips.
Store in a tight tin.
