Banana Nut Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soft shortening
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
    1 c. mashed banana
    3 c. flour
    3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix the sugar, shortening and egg.
    Stir in the milk and banana.
    Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
    Fold in the nuts.
    Let stand 20 minutes.
    Bake in a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for about 70 minutes.
    Cool and slice.
    Serve with butter or cream cheese.
