Buttermilk Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 c. sifted cake flour, divided
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    3 or 4 drops butter flavoring
Preparation
    Combine shortening and sugar; cream with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 30 seconds after each addition. Stir 1 c. flour into creamed mixture until blended. Combine buttermilk, soda, salt, lemon extract, vanilla extract and butter flavoring; stir one-half of buttermilk mixture into creamed mixture until blended. Stir 1 c. flour into creamed mixture. Repeat procedure, ending with flour. Pour batter into a well greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours. Cool 10 to 15 minutes; remove from pan.
