Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 c. crisp cold cereal
2 c. quick rolled oats
1 c. shredded coconut (walnuts or chocolate chips may be used instead)
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar (white and brown).
Add beaten eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth.
Add flour with soda, salt and baking powder added and mix well.
Add cold cereal, rolled oats and coconut and mix thoroughly.
The dough will be crumbly.
Roll into balls the size of a walnut.
Place on greased cookie sheet and press slightly.
Bake at 350\u00b0
for 12 to 15 minutes.
