Chewy Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3/4 stick butter
1 box light brown sugar
4 eggs, beaten lightly
2 scant c. self-rising flour
1 c. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Mix brown sugar and eggs in top of double boiler and cook 20 minutes over boiling water.
Do not stir.
Cool.
Add to cooled mixture the self-rising flour, nuts and vanilla.
Pour batter in pan with melted butter and bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
Cover as soon as you take out of oven. Let cool to cut.
