Slice And Bake Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. quick cooking oats, uncooked
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine flour, soda and salt, stir well; set aside.
    Combine sugar and shortening, cream well, beat in eggs and vanilla.
    Add flour mixture, mixing well.
    Stir in oats and pecans.
    Divide dough in half, shape each half into a 12 x 12-inch roll.
    Wrap in waxed paper, and chill overnight.
    Slice dough into 1/4-inch slices, place on ungreased cookie sheets.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
