Diabetic Fruit Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. dates, chopped
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. prunes, chopped
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 whole eggs
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Spray 7 x 11-inch pan with nonstick spray.
    Cook together dates, prunes and raisins in water.
    Remove from heat and add margarine.
    When melted, stir until well blended. Add beaten eggs and vanilla; beat until blended.
    Mix all dry ingredients in separate bowl while cooking raisins, prunes and dates.
    Add dry ingredients; mix well.
    Spread mixture in prepared pan.
    Bake for 25 minutes.
