Ingredients

8 oz. cream cheese (cold)
1 c. shortening
2 c. flour
any preserves or Solo filling (prune, cherry, etc.)
Preparation

Cut cheese and shortening in flour as for pie crust.
Form into ball.
Refrigerate overnight.
Bring to room temperature and roll out thinly.
Cut in circles or squares.
If circles, put finger indentation in middle and put in filling.
If square, place filling in middle, lift opposite sides together and pinch.
Bake on cookie sheet, lightly greased at 350\u00b0 for about 15 to 25 minutes, depending on size.
Makes 3 dozen.
