Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3 ripe bananas
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sour milk (buttermilk)
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
Preparation
    Add beaten eggs and bananas which have been well mashed to creamed mixture.
    Sift flour with baking powder, soda and salt. Add to first mixture alternately with milk.
    Beat well.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan (or larger if you wish).
    Bake for 25 minutes or when the cake springs back to touch of finger.
    Cover with 7 Minute Frosting or frosting of your choice.
