Sugar Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. margarine
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Mix baking soda, baking powder and cream of tartar into flour. Add alternately with milk and vanilla.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 about 8 to 10 minutes.
