French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    4 eggs
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
    8 slices bread
    additional butter
    maple syrup
Preparation
    Combine milk, eggs, salt and pepper in a shallow bowl, beating well.
    Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet.
    Dip 2 bread slices, one at a time, into egg mixture, coating well.
    Drain. Arrange in skillet and cook over medium heat, 4 minutes on each side or until lightly browned.
    Remove to a serving platter and keep warm.
