Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. regular rice (not Minute rice)
    1 c. water
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 qt. milk
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
Preparation
    Cook rice in 1 cup water for 5 minutes.
    Do not drain.
    Add milk and butter.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla.
    Stir mixture slowly into cooked rice.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Add raisins if desired.
