Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. crushed blackberries
    1/2 c. sour milk
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Sift flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and baking powder together.
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add egg and beat well. Add crushed blackberries.
    Alternate sour milk and dry ingredients.
    Pour into a greased loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
