Mayonnaise Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. mustard
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Mix sugar and flour; gradually add water and vinegar.
    Cook until flour thickens mixture and doesn't taste floury.
    Add mustard immediately.
    Cool slightly and add 1 1/2 cups store mayonnaise. Good dressing for garden lettuce, potato salad, macaroni salad, etc.
    Especially good on layered salad.
    Be sure and add 1/4 cup mustard; it gives the flavor.
