My Mom'S Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. squash (1/2 yellow, 1/2 green), sliced
    2 large bell peppers, sliced
    2 onions, chopped
    1 c. sliced hot pepper
    2 small jars pimento
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. dill seed
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Place squash, peppers, pimento and onions in a large container; sprinkle with 2 tablespoons salt.
    Let stand 1 hour. Wash well to remove salt; drain.
