Rice 'N Sausage Stir - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. Italian sausage, casing removed
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed
    1 2/3 c. cold water
    1 2/3 c. Minute rice
    2 Tbsp. parsley, chopped (optional)
    1 c. Velveeta cheese spread
Preparation
    Brown
    sausage; drain.
    Add onions.
    Cook until tender. Stir in
    water and oregano; bring to full boil.
    Stir in rice and parsley (if used).
    Cover, remove from heat.
    Let stand 5 minutes then fluff with fork.
    Stir in processed cheese spread until melted.
    Makes 6 servings.
