Black Midnight Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. soft shortening
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    2/3 c. cocoa
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 c. water
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream together until fluffy the shortening, sugar and eggs. Beat 5 minutes at high speed on mixer or by hand.
    Sift together all dry ingredients.
    Mix in alternately with water and vanilla, using low speed on mixer.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
