Pork Chow Mein - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean pork, cut in strips
1 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. water
1 green pepper, cut in strips
2 c. celery, diagonally sliced
1 large onion, sliced
1/4 c. diced pimento
1 can bean sprouts
1 can mushrooms with juice
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. dark molasses
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Melt shortening.
Brown meat.
Reduce heat.
Add salt, pepper and water.
Cover.
Cook 25 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients except cornstarch.
Cover and cook 10 minutes.
Thicken with cornstarch and water paste.
Serve over chow mein noodles and rice.
