Regular White Bread - cooking recipe

5 3/4 to 6 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 packet yeast
2 1/4 c. milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups flour and yeast. In a saucepan, heat milk, sugar, shortening and salt until lukewarm and shortening almost melts.
Add to flour mixture and beat at low speed until mixed.
With a spoon, put in the rest of the flour, a little at a time, until you have used as much flour as possible.
